Common mistakes
Reusing the same invoice number
Duplicated numbers make it impossible to tell two invoices apart when a payment arrives without a clear reference.
Leaving out payment instructions
If the customer has to ask how to pay you, the invoice sits in a pile until someone finds time to chase it.
Vague descriptions
'Consulting' tells an accounts department nothing. Name the work, the period and the quantity.
Not keeping a copy
The PDF is generated in your browser and is not stored anywhere for you. Save it somewhere you can find it later.
